Drop the Veil and See with Clarity

Prey

We fall short of living in prayer, the highest form of living,  instead we are a living prey. Our social habit of "must have" syndrome is a manifested behavior which arises from comparison between ourselves and others in relativity.  Infants with no minds do not know, let alone compare if their presence matters to anyone or if their cries and laughter make a significance. Joyfulness and tearfulness are nature's way of communication with existence. They are one and the same.

When we are joyful, we have tears.  When we are tearful, we erupt into joy. Tears and joy go hand in hand. Now this is so clear to me and the understanding has manifested into deeper clarity.  We seek comfort in joy and relate pain to tears.  But the reality is not!

Our "must have" pursuits, brings us temporal joy and last as long as another "must have" precedes the other.  We deplete our "must haves" by haunting them relentlessly. Our "must haves" is our inner thermometer to measure our rising needs within. Only when we are being hunted by our "must haves" then we will realize that we have been a living prey. We cover our living geography with our "must haves" but not with our moment to moment connection with reality. This requires eyes to see.

Similarly when we go traveling, we engross ourselves hastily in putting our camera into action rather than to immerse ourselves to appreciate what is in front of us.  We prefer to let our camera do the job of  "seeing" for us and store these and not know if we ever revisit those deadly shots again. We could relish those moments from our hearts!  Or would we use our mind to dig further where and when those moments were? Moments felt by our hearts are like eggs hatching into chicks.  They give birth to life. Feeling the moment injects life's treasure of spontaneity and creativity.  Pray we drop the living prey.
